The stretch canvas is incredibly soft and lightweight, and it hugs the foot just right, really accentuating the arch and giving that clean ballet line we all love. I personally think I could go down half a size to a 3 for a snugger fit, but even at 3.5C, the comfort is amazing.

One of my favorite things about the Performa is the range of skin tone shades—a thoughtful detail for dancers who want a seamless line. As someone who loves to roll her tights up, I prefer a skin-tone shoe, and the Sand color is perfect for me. They’re available in black, cocoa, coffee, sand, pink, and white, making it easy to match your studio dress code or personal style. There’s also no drawstring (yay—no more digging into your foot!), pre-sewn crossed elastics so you can skip the needle and thread, and even shock-absorbing heel cushioning that makes long rehearsals much easier on your feet.

These shoes are a dancer’s dream in terms of function, feel, and price—coming in at just $24, they’re proof that great ballet flats don’t have to break the bank. I can’t wait to wear them throughout the season, and I’m already thinking about grabbing another pair in my adjusted size.

If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable, and skin-tone-matching ballet flat, the Bloch Performa is absolutely worth trying!
